A short study in gradually building up a piece from very few resources. An analogy with cathedral building would not be inappropriate... Only the cathedral comes crashing down at the end. The possibility of a new beginning is suggested.
Hammering was recorded in May/June 2025 by the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra in Olomouc conducted by Ken Woods for release on Toccata Classics in May 2026.
